MAC Volcanic Ash Thermal Mask Review

I am LOVING this product! I purchased the mask after a subbie's encouragement and I am so impressed. First, I washed my face with my usual cleanser and applied the mask immediately to my damp face with wet hands (water activates the warming sensation.) The intense heat felt great on my tired face! Although the sensation only lasts about five seconds, it allows the mask to work deeper and help unclog your pores from impurities. I felt like Shakira in La Tortura video while smearing the black mask all over my face lol.
Because the heat is activated on contact with water, I began applying it to my problem areas which are my nose (clogged pores) and chin (menstrual breakout) before spreading it all over-careful to avoid the sensitive eye area! The mask only requires five minutes to work its magic and washing it off was a breeze! My skin felt very soft and the blemish on my chin which was inflamed before the mask has reduced considerably! I was actually worried the mask would irritate that area so I was thrilled to discover the complete opposite! I have a feeling that this mask, along with my current cleanser and the Volcanic Ash exfoliator will be just the thing to clear my stubborn pores and make my skin glow!
I highly recommend giving the mask a try and I can't wait to see what my skin looks like a month from now using this mask once a week. =)

Fashion Forward Interview Outfit.

Hi Dolls!
Soooo I have a huuuuge interview this upcoming thursday and I have been going nuts getting everything ready! I thought I'd share the things I've purchased so far =]

The lovely Dulce's "How to glam up your 9-5" video was SUCH a big help I can not thank her enough! I fell in love with one of the outfits she wears in this video (the one with the yellow top and flower lace pantyhose), I knew it'd be perfect for my interview, except I have to wear all black ;)

The Top.

Yellow Victorian Ruffle Top available at http://hotmiamistyles.com $26.99
They didn't have it in black so I ordered the white top and I'm actually going to dye it myself with good old Rit fabric dye (available at Wal-mart) I have NEVER done this before so I can only hope for the best!

It feels like there's a 50/50 chance of me wearing this top to the interview. One, because I ordered it yesterday (labor day-no post office) and although I paid $25 extra for express shipping, it still may not arrive by tomorrow.. and Two, I may ruin it during the dye job lol! but it was a risk I was willing to take for such a beautiful outfit(I already have a different back-up blouse just in case!).

The Pencil Skirt.

Express- Studio Stretch High Waist Pencil Skirt. $49.50

I love it! It wears beautifully and it's so comfy! It cinches the waist and the stretch fabric really hugs your curves. I feel confident wearing it which is most important!

The Shoes.

Charlotte Russe Platform Pumps. 24.99 I couldn't find a picture of the exact shoes I purchase but they're similar, only mine are patent leather and peep toe.

The shoes at CR. are buy one, get one for $10; so I got a pair Suede Slouchy Boots

They're knee-high and I love em!

On the hunt for:

The flower laced stockings!! I got beautiful flower lace LEGGINGS from Forever 21 but I just don't like how they are cut off at the ankles..

it doesn't look right with a pencil skirt.. if anybody knows where to find the stockings please leave me a comment! If I can't find them tomorrow, I'll just pick up some sheer black pantyhose but I feel that the flower lacing would be strongly remembered and just gives the whole outfit a huge dose of fierceness. Do you agree? -

The Backup.

Miley Cyrus & Max Azria - Chiffon Ruffle Blouse $12.00 (!)

The Hair.

My hair is a lot shorter after they "trimmed it" so I wanted to get hair extensions! *shout out to my yt bff Ledy! fafibaby12 lol* I bought the human hair extensions strip at Sally's for $49, and I will prepare it tonight by sewing the clips into it. I'm going to wear my hair curled and half up w/ a big birdsnest (teased) lol and I'll be wearing a black flower hair clip that has glitter and feathers! =] I'm going to keep the accessories simple and wear my Black Daisy Stone Bracelet from Status Glam.

Yay! I'm feeling really good about this.. the outfit is probably only a small factor in helping me get the job but I need to feel confident and do my best!

Meet Suri! =]

My niece, Jazmine just got her very first pet =]
The breeder brought us two pekingese puppies and a t-cup poodle to choose from and I immediately fell in love with the pups<3 but the pekingese are soo lazy! lol The tiny poodle was mingling with everybody and barking at my chihuahua Giselle while the other two just laid flat on the floor! If you've watched The Girls Next Door on E! you probably remember Bridget's puppy Wedneday.. they're the same breed =]

This is the puppy my sister decided on (my fav!). Her name is Suri Gremlin haha. Isn't she cute?!

MACCosmetics.com news

MAC Pro 15 Eye Shadow Palette $12.00 USD

Eye Shadow Refill $11.00 (vs. eyeshadow pot $14.50)

Pro Colour Blush Palette $12.00

Blush Refill pan $15.00 (vs. blush pot $18.00)

I'm going lay down the math to show savings for you in a bit, but using palettes rather than pots is a really good idea because it will save you soo much space! Especially if you have a lot of makeup and need to carry it around in a train case. You can also save a lot of time and hassle, say you have 30 eyeshadows and you're looking for one specific color; would you prefer look through 30 different pots or just open two palettes?

I totally understand that it's a matter of preference. For example, I do NOT like the idea of having my blushes in a palette... only my shadows. It's the crazy in me =]

Now! Fifteen eyeshadow pots would cost you $217..

To fill one 15 shadow palette you would purchase a palette ($12) and fifteen pan refills ($165) for a total of $177 spent. That's a $40 savings!

Keep in mind if you depot your shadows you should take advantage of the Back to MAC program and claim your free lipstick(s)!

Inexpensive E.L.F Brush Belt

Hey guys!
I've wanted a MAC brush belt for a really long time but it's quite the splurge.. I won't be buying it until after I get a pro card.
But I wanted to share this find for you loves who would like to have a brush belt but don't want to spend too much:

As some of you may know, E.L.F. Cosmetics (eyeslipsface.com) has launched a new 'Studio' line.. the packaging is all black and looks a lot sleeker, (I already have my eye on some of the brushes).. this brush belt is one of the products from the line and it is only $15 !!

Here's the site's description:

" The e.l.f. Makeup Artist Brush Belt is made of an easy to clean faux leather material. The belt has an array of interior nylon pockets varying in size to accommodate all brush sizes. The center pockets are also designed to hold mascara, eye pencils, lip glosses or any other slender makeup product. An adjustable strap allows for the belt to be comfortably worn around the waist or over the shoulder. To protect brushes after use, fold the belt in half and close with the attached strap.
*brushes not included

Dimensions:
Unfolded : L x W = 10” x 15.5”
Fold : L x W x H= 10” x 7.25” x 1” "

Neutrogena Wave

Wave Hello to the Neutrogena Wave power cleanser =]

This little guy is amazing! When I first bought the Wave I didn't expect much, just a cleanser that would remove dirt, oil and makeup.. like my other cleansers.. but I was officially wowed after just one use!

It leaves your face sooo smooth and definitely softer!

According to Neutrogena:

The wave's gentle vibrations help soften pores, so the foam (cleanser) can do 10x deeper to remove more dirt, oil and makeup than traditional cleansing.

Softly textured pads sweep away layers of dead skin cells- leaving 100% of girls with softer, smoother-looking skin after the first use.

The wave is gentle enough to be used daily; and when you do, your skin will start to produce less oil so that clean feeling will last even longer.

-----------------------------------

This may just be the answer for girls with oily skin.
Because I have dry skin I only use the wave about once or twice a week on average, but removing dead skin cells to reveal fresh, radiant skin and having a product that will clean deep down into pores is important for all skin types!

Studio Fix Fluid

Here's a quick goofy pic I took before going to a party a while back.. this was after my first application using Studio Fix fluid with the 109 brush...

I'm NW 20..

I really like the coverage! This will be my go-to foundation for nights out from now on, unless I find something better... (MUF HD foundation is calling my name!)

Lashes are love!

I've already made a video on my precious Red Cherry lashes and where to buy them.. but I can't stress what amazing quality they are! They are absolutely comparable to Ardell lashes but get this: I bought ten pairs today for only $1 a pair!!! wowww woww wowwwww right?! I bought them wholesale at a beauty supply store in the LA Fashion District.. unfortunately this place requires a business license to purchase.. but you may find them in some retail stores and online for a great price!

My main point?? Try Red Cherries! If you love em like I do, you will be able to save some money without sacrificing quality and you'll have more to spend on say... the HK collection?? =]
